Northern Arizona Photo Tour

Details

  • The workshop/tour is based out of Page/Lake Powell, AZ, but we will provide transport to and from Flagstaff.  If you fly into any other airport, you will need to make your own way to Page/Lake Powell. ​

​

  • For our solo travelers, we will pair you up with someone of the same sex unless single occupancy is requested.

​

  • All entrance fees and tour cost are included except for the Canyon X tour which is conducted on private land, owned by the Navajo Nation. The canyon is only accessible by private tour with a Navajo Nations guide.  The additional cost for this photography tour is $115 per person.

  • There is also the option to include a scenic flight over Lake Powell, Horseshoe Bend & Rainbow Bridge, at $190 pp.

​

  • The tour will include some daily hiking – no more than 3-4 miles per day. So a moderate of fitness is required. This is a harsh environment, so come prepared with hats, sunscreen, water bottles and the proper footwear. 

For a landscape photographer there is no better state than Arizona, one of the most geologically diverse regions in the world.  This historically volcanic area is packed with incredible scenery including colorful slot canyons, hoodoos and rainbow-colored rocks just begging to be photographed.   


Join us on this exciting five-day photo tour along with your host (Sarah Jane Laubscher), and your private guide and Arizona native, Brady Harris. We'll explore a labyrinth of slot canyons (either Canyon X or Antelope Canyon), enjoy breathtaking views at Horseshoe Bend,  visit Toadstool Hoodoos, Alstrom point overlook, and Vermilion Cliffs’ colorful landscapes.  The highlight of the trip will be overnight camping trip to the less-explored “White Pocket” for both a sunset and sunrise photo shoot, and perhaps some astro photography (weather permitting).
